Sahure L Chandelier, Finish: polished brass, smoked glass

The multi-tiered chandelier is made on an iron frame, decorated with glass fluted plates. The smoky glass plates are made in the shape of palm leaves. This exquisite piece embodies the spirit of ancient craftsmanship and modern luxury, adding originality and warmth to any space. It is designed for eighteen light bulbs with an E14 base. The Sahure chandelier is inspired by the ancient Egyptian Palm column Sahure (c. 2458-2446 BC), which was over 21 feet tall in its original state. The granite column, which now stands in the Egyptian Art Gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is one of 16 columns lining the perimeter of the open courtyard of the pyramid temple of Pharaoh Sahure. The design of our chandelier is inspired by the date palm leaves depicted at the top of the museum column.
